I Love Football and the 49ers

I have loved football for as long as I can remember. I'm a daddy's girl so we would watch games together every Sunday. I became a fan of the 49ers when Steve Young was beginning to become a premier quarterback in the NFL. Jerry Rice has been my favorite player since then.

I am looking forward to this season for the 49ers. They made some smart picks during the draft, especially QB Nate Davis in the fifth round.

The main thing everyone is talking about with the 49ers is the fact that their
first round pick, Michael Crabtree, has not signed yet. He's looking for more
money than where he was picked because he was projected to go higher in the
draft. The team is handling it well by almost ignoring the situation and
continuing to work with the players they have.

This is Mike Singletary's first full season as the head coach and he's had the
whole off-season to work get his system in place. This should be a good season
for the team in a less than stellar NFC West. The only thing that I'm worried
about is the QB situation. Shaun Hill and Alex Smith have not proven that they
are true starters in the NFL but Hill is staring for now.
