I thought we had something going here. At first. Now I see it's the same old-but worse, because the fans have been treated to yet another crushing defeat, snatched from the jaws of victory.

The short version? The Jets came from behind and took the lead, only to botch a two point conversion. The defense then allowed a previously 0-4 road team to march down the field and kick a field goal with seconds left on the clock. Sinking the Jets to 4-5.

They made a nice run in the second half, as the defense held the Jaguars scoreless until the last minute of the game. The Jets actually looked decent in stretches, scoring enough points to actually take the lead, but a lack of execution on defense when it counted the most left them sitting on the losing end of the field, yet again.

This is getting harder and harder to stomach. It's one thing to start and finish as bottom feeders, another entirely to start at the top and freefall into oblivion. Oh well. Maybe next weeks drubbing will actually be entertaining.
